Now LA-based, Koyal is an indie pop-rock trio from ATL on the rise, composed of lead vocalist Pooja Prabakaran, guitarist/producer Noah Weinstein, and drummer Henry Wallace. Formed in their college basement, the trio’s friendship and musical chemistry have propelled them forward, steadily building a loyal fanbase and a diverse discography ranging from soft acoustic to main stage disco-pop. In 2024, Koyal released three new disco and dance-infused singles “intoxicated,” “gasoline,” and “lotus lake,” which are off their upcoming studio album, breathe in. breathe out, set to drop in February 2025.

In 2023, Koyal achieved a significant milestone by selling out a headlining show at Atlanta’s iconic venue The Masquerade, and completing their 11-date debut East Coast “Gravity Tour” to promote their dance-pop single, “Gravity.”

Based in Savannah, Georgia and New York, Jon Lindsay is a multi-faceted power pop solo artist, producer, and long time member of the band Benji Hughes (Merge / New West Records). Theatrical indie-pop band, Bandits on the Run, release their first single of 2025, “Let’s Go Below,” on February 5, 2025. The next night, they kick off a string of tour dates supporting The Wood Brothers.
Known for their distinct combination of cello, guitar, accordion and found-percussion with sophisticated three-part harmonies and rotating lead vocals, the trio of Adrian Blake Enscoe (he/they), Sydney Shepherd (she/her) and Regina Strayhorn (she/her) sprang from a chance encounter while busking in NYC’s bustling subways. “Anyone who knows us knows we’re no strangers to the subways– our band was forged busking on the train platforms of New York City,” says Enscoe.

Irish composer Jamie Duffy releases “For The Moon” after overwhelming demand from fans around the globe. The single will be the first from his brand new “For The Moon” EP, coming in March.
Dublin, Ireland – 31 January 2025 – Rising star Jamie Duffy, the 23-year-old musician and songwriter, releases his much anticipated single “For The Moon” from his upcoming “For The Moon” EP (released in March 2025). The track is romantic, cinematic, soothing and instantly connected with thousands of fans online after Jamie shared a video of him performing it in his home in Monaghan. Jamie decided to collaborate with BAFTA winner and Emmy nominated Icelandic composer Atli Örvarsson on the production of the track and include it on his upcoming EP.
When speaking about the song, Jamie Duffy says ‘“For The Moon” is a piece that was born in the early hours of one June morning. I find that my greatest creativity happens during the hours of darkness, and over the years I have found immense comfort between myself, my piano and the moon. Unlike many things in this world, the moon is of course constant, and whilst sometimes she is hidden under a veil of cloud or storms, since I was young I’ve always found comfort in knowing that she is ever present. She witnesses everything, and she will outlive everyone. Living in a dark and rural part of the world naturally allows one to get very well acquainted with her, her light and her mystery. “For The Moon” is for her.’
Jamie Duffy’s musical journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. His debut track ‘Solas’ shattered records in 2022, becoming the most streamed debut song by an Irish artist since Hozier’s “Take Me To Church,” with over 100 million streams on Spotify alone. Known for his versatility and innovation, Jamie has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sarah Cothran, Patrick Dexter, and Kingfishr, seamlessly merging talents and producing deeply resonant music.
With over 1.4 million monthly listeners, Jamie is solidifying his place in the music world. His debut EP promises to be a testament to his growing influence and the depth of his musical artistry.

Philadelphia-based tastemaker label Julia’s War Recordings is excited to announce Moths Strapped To Eachother’s Backs, the debut album from Brooklyn band Bedridden, out April 11, 2025. A collection of ten songs recorded last year at Studio G and produced by Momma’s Aron Kobayashi Ritch, their imminent debut is a thrashing but tight-edged look at tumultuous adult life. The first preview of the record arrives today in the form of “Etch,” a melancholic song driven by anger and the need for release through violence. Guitar riffs pass through each other like missed punches but bandleader Jack Riley’s vocals land like a sucker punch.
“‘Etch’ was a rhythmic accident that didn’t stem from any direct inspirations,” Riley explains. “The irregular triplet line came to me first and sounded somber, yet hostile. It lent itself well to phrases I had written not about heartbreak, but about the subsequent temper that it had induced. I was dreaming of fighting, I was dreaming of winning that fight, and lastly dreaming of defaming my competitor. The song is frantic and doesn’t have a tonal center. With its weaving guitar harmonies laid underneath countering vocal melodies, it sounds to me like that regretful fistfight that I was longing for.”

Minneapolis band she’s green are excited to announce that they have officially signed to NYC’s Photo Finish Records. To celebrate, they’re sharing their first new music since their 2023 breakout EP, Wisteria. “Graze” arrives today with an official music video. A glistening and layered guitar track produced by Henry Stoehr of Slow Pulp, mixed by Sonny DiPerri (DIIV, My Bloody Valentine) and mastered by Alec Ness (Paris Texas, Lutalo), this wistful single is filled with lulling acoustic guitar that cascades into distorted oblivion.
“This song is about feeling trapped in a distant memory and longing to find a way out,” she’s green says about “Graze.” “The only way to escape seems to be facing it head-on and finally getting the release you need.”
“The first time I heard she’s green’s music, I was completely and utterly compelled,” says Photo Finish Director of A&R Shane Friedman. “I knew I had to see this band live, immediately. So on a sweltering June day, I flew to Minneapolis and piled into a hot, sweaty basement with 100 other local fans and watched them hypnotize the entire crowd. It was a show I’ll never forget. As we got to talking, I knew this was a band who had a clear vision for not only what they want their music to sound like, but also the world they intend to build around it. They’re imaginative, innovative and incredibly talented musicians. We could not be more excited to welcome them to the Photo Finish family and hit the ground running.”

Primavera Sound Barcelona is everything that happens during the three main days of the festival within the confines of the Parc del Fòrum, but also much, much more. The fact that it is already a tradition that is part of the festival’s identity does not mean that it should not be highlighted: this specific urban format, which turns Primavera Sound into a multi-screen adventure, is one of a kind.
Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025 grows even more with the boost of Primavera a la Ciutat, which once again puts into practice its idea of an event that is truly integrated into the city that hosts it. Now that the lineup for this parallel programme has been revealed, the 23rd edition of the festival is already being organised as a whole week of music that will start on Monday 2nd June and will last until Sunday 8th. On the stages of the Parc del Fòrum site and in the concert venues; by day and by night; on a large scale and more intimately.
An extra life. A total of fourteen artists and bands that were already part of the lineup of this year’s Primavera Sound Barcelona will multiply to perform not only on the main days of the festival but also at Primavera a la Ciutat. Like Beach House, who will go over their collection of dream-pop lullabies in a rare appearance at Razzmatazz. And The Jesus Lizard, who will be doubly celebrating the fact that they have released another album over a quarter of a century later. And indie heroine Kim Deal, finally ready to add to her legend with her solo project. And the forever mysterious Salem. Along with Los Campesinos! presenting All Hell, whose emotion is so massive that it doesn’t fit into a single concert. And Fcukers and Kelly Lee Owens DJ set on a night sponsored by BBC Radio 6 Music which will also feature a session by Nathan Shepherd, host of Indie Forever on the British radio station. As well as Chat Pile, Frost Children, Horsegirl, Momma, Cap’n Jazz, Dehd and Machine Girl.
All of them will offer an extra life to their fans within the framework of Primavera a la Ciutat.
More Primavera Sound. On the other hand, Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025 is growing even more with the incorporation of several musical projects that will perform exclusively at Primavera a la Ciutat. From Nilüfer Yanya and her rock with denomination of origin to the Northern Irish Kneecap, protagonists of the musical biopic of the year, the troubadour Peter Doherty, the Tuareg band Tinariwen, the reappearance of Christopher Owens in a new chapter of his life after Girls, Allie X and her gothic pop, the chameleonic Youth Lagoon, the revelation Lambrini Girls, the French artist Yseult, the pioneers Seefeel, a party thrown by the British label Young Recordings and the post-everything rock of La Plata. In short, practically a festival parallel to the festival itself making Primavera Sound and Barcelona merge.
In the venues… and at the CCCB with Primavera Pro. All these proposals (and more) will take place at Sala Apolo, La (2) d’Apolo, Razzmatazz, Paral·lel 62, LAUT, La Nau and Enfants, seven venues with which Primavera Sound collaborates throughout the year thanks to the Primavera Tours calendar. The Primavera a la Ciutat concerts will kick off on Monday 2nd June, marking the start of the Primavera Sound Barcelona week, and will mark the way to the main days of the festival with activities on Tuesday and Wednesday. Finally, on Sunday 8th June, the last few hours of another Primavera Sound Barcelona in the history of the festival can be enjoyed in several venues.
Also, Primavera Pro will present 22 free concerts at the CCCB on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. In this way, the meeting for professionals of Primavera Sound is integrated into the programme of Primavera a la Ciutat, bringing together local artists to be discovered and artists from Argentina, Costa Rica, Bulgaria, Norway, United Kingdom, Austria, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Indonesia, South Korea and Australia during the daytime. The stage of the CCCB will be the perfect showcase for proposals from here and there (and selected with the same meticulous care as the rest of the activities of Primavera Sound Barcelona 2025) such as JENYS, xicu, Niamh Bury, Remei de Ca la Fresca, OSKA and Juana Aguirre.
Check out the dates and venues on the Primavera Sound website.

Continuing the unique release of the new album, Couple(t)s, North Carolina-based indie-folk duo, Couldn’t Be Happiers, drop “Wherever You Go” on February 6, 2025. The love song inspired by the married couple’s own story is the first offering from the second halfof an LP released in two parts. Arriving June 13, 2025, the Couple(t)s Side B EP follows the success of Side A in December of 2024, resulting in a full-length album arranged thematically into pairs; each side features two love songs, two protest songs, and two folk-story songs.
“We decided to organize the album into couplets shortly after we started recording it,” says guitarist/vocalist Jordan Crosby Lee. “But the decision to include only songs that could be classified as love songs, protest music, or southern folklore was made over a decade ago. We just didn’t know it.”
“The couplet is simple and powerful–much like folk music,” adds Jodi Hildebran Lee (drums, vocals, harmonica). “But it’s also an apt metaphor for our relationship. A couplet is a pair of rhyming lines with the same meter. Each line is made up of different words, but they always come together at the end. Likewise, Jordan and I are completely different people, but we work in concert for the same goal of creating unique, but relatable, folk-music.”

NYC-based power-popgaze band Heaven are excited to share the second single from their upcoming third full-length album, Dream Aloud, out April 4, 2025, via Little Cloud Records. Out now, “The Fire You Know” is a fever dream of a lyrical vision, melancholy orchestral sounds anchored by hi-hats keep fated beliefs and secrets deep inside. Out now with an official music video, today’s single features Megan LaMarca on cello recorded by her husband Anthony LaMarca from The War On Drugs. Heaven’s usual choir of noisy guitars are traded in for lush string arrangements, resulting in complete sonic entracement.
The official music video for “The Fire You Know” was filmed in Upstate New York in and around an early 20th-century farmhouse in Narrowsburg, NY, aptly called the Nowhere House. Directed and shot by Jeska Sand, the excursion from NYC was an escape into the cold snowy recess of winter to find the fire and the warmth needed to conjure the vision, voluntarily stepping into the doorway of the madness that is believing.
