Samsung introduced the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56 as its latest mid-rangers this month. The company started selling the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36 models in the US earlier this month, but there wasn’t any word regarding the Galaxy A56’s availability. Now, Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy A56 will be available in the US “later this year.”
Galaxy A56 is launching in the US later in 2025 with a competitive price tag
According to the company, the Galaxy A56 will be available in the US at some point later in 2025. The phone will carry a $499 price tag, which is $100 higher than the Galaxy A36 and $200 more than the Galaxy A26. Samsung will offer the phone in four attractive hues, including Awesome Graphite, Awesome Light Grey, Awesome Olive, and Awesome Pink.
At this price point, the Galaxy A56 will directly compete against the likes of the iPhone 16e and the Pixel 9a, which will go on sale in the country from April 10th. The Galaxy A56 is already available to buy in several markets, like India and Ireland.
Key features of the Galaxy A56
Samsung launched the Galaxy A56 as one of its first mid-range smartphones with artificial intelligence features. It offers AI functionalities like Google’s Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and many image filters. The device boasts an exclusive AI feature named Best Face that allows users to select the best expressions from many frames and combine them into a single picture so people look their best in photos.
As for the other specs, the handset has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD+ resolution. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1,900 nits peak brightness, and HDR10+. Samsung has equipped the handset with an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers for an immersive media experience, and an IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.
The Exynos 1580 processor powers the Galaxy A56, along with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage. The device comes pre-installed with Android 15-based One UI 7, and it will receive six major Android OS updates. In the camera department, it offers a 50MP OIS-enabled main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro snapper. For selfies, there’s a 12MP camera on the front.
